Frequently asked QuestionS

For parents

Our teachers set their own rates, based on our guidance of £28-£42 per 30-minute lesson and £50-£70 per 60-minute lesson.

Our teachers all have professional qualifications and 5+ years of classroom experience. Read more about our selection process on our Certification and vetting page

All teachers are personally matched using our comprehensive matching system. You can read more about this process on our Practical Information for Parents page

This is something you decide with your teacher when you’re matched with them. We have three lesson lengths that you and your teacher can use to help decide what works best.

All JOROJack lessons are taught on Zoom – it’s reliable, secure, and easy for families.

We have an extremely thorough vetting process for all our teachers. Read more about this on our Certification and vetting page.

All teachers will give regular feedback on your child’s progress, delivered in a way that works best for you.

We keep it simple and fair for everyone:

– More than 24 hours notice given – full refund or reschedule option
– Under 24 hours notice given – 50% fee applies
– Under 2 hours notice given/no show – full fee applies.

Each family is allowed one emergency credit per month for illness, emotional distress or sudden conflict.

We know kids have tough days. If your child is too tired, upset or dysregulated, your teacher may occasionally offer a shorter session. You’ll only be charged for the time actually taught, rounded to the nearest five minutes.

This flexibility is occasional, not routine. If it becomes frequent, we may suggest booking a shorter session as standard. Teachers are not required to shorten sessions without notice each week. Any adjustments are logged for transparency and fairness.

About Teach One to Reach One fund

100% of your donation goes into the Reach One Fund. Once there’s enough to support a full tutoring programme, we assign one of our certified teachers to deliver it – just like any other JOROJack student would receive. You’ll never be asked to give, but if you choose to, it goes straight to where it matters.
